St. Patrick's Day is no doubt the busiest time of year for anyone involved with pipeband/celtic music/beer. It isn't so much a time of year that those "behind the scenes" enjoy, rather a time of year that nets the most income and offers the most visibility. That being said, I'm glad to have, after many years, graduated from the March-of-Tears-esque St. Patrick's Day parades to some much cooler events.
Thanks to my friend Mike MacNintch, I'm appearing (as are many other pipers and drummers) with the legendary Chieftains at some venues in the Northeast (see links at right).
And, with a gig that is a complete departure from the the parades of olde, I will be playing with CoW at The White House on St. Patrick's Day itself. We're short on details around who will be in attendance, but we'll be there. Check back for updates.
